June 9 Final exam

Today is final exam first day. Today's exam subject si English history.Yesterday, I had big problem in study this subject. Because I didn't study this subject!! So yesterday, I cramed in all night. Today, I was very tierd and sleepy but I think I solved question well. But I think cramming is bad.

May 21. The Topic of this Week (Journal)

1.Do you think "teaching English Through English" is necessary in public school english class? Give us your opinion and supporting reasons.

I think teaching English through English is necessary in enlish class. Because if teaching in english student more concentrate on class for understand. In that process, student's listening skill is lso upgraded.

2. Which English teachers do you think is better for our students, native speakers of English, or Korean English teachers? Why?

I think both teachers teachin english together is best. Native speaker can teach speaking and listening better than Korean teacher and Korean teacher can teacj grammar better than native teacher.

3.How do you think will our English class be changed in the future? How do you ( as 사범대생) prepare for future English education in Korea?

I think in the future, in English class everyperson have to speak English only. Of course teachers too. So from now, we prepared for lead English class in English. Speaking in English freely is important.

May 16. 스승의날 특별한 선물

지난 주 목요일, 강의실에 들어가니 학생들이 박수를 친다. ‘교수님, 감사합니다.’라고 외친다. 나는 어리둥절 무슨 일이냐고 물었다. 스승의 날이란다. 그리고는 한 여학생이 피아노로 다가가 쿵작작 연주를 시작하니 모두 입을 모아 노래를 한다.‘스승의 은혜는 하늘같아서....’ 기분이 좋다. 나는 팔짱을 끼고 침묵하며 그들의 노래를 듣는다. ‘아... 보답하리 스승의 은혜...’하고 1절이 끝나간다. 나는 왼손 엄지와 검지로 리듬을 맞추며 피아노를 치는 학생 쪽으로 다가갔다. 그리고 그에게 신나는 리듬을 주었다. 피아노 리듬은 신나는 댄스 리듬으로 바뀌었다. 그리고 스윙 템포의 신나는 2절이 노래되기 시작했다. ‘태산같이 무거운 스승의 사랑...’ 학생들은 신이 났다. 책상을 두드리며 몸을 흔들며 흥겹게 노래한다. 2절로 끝나기는 아쉽다. 나는 학생들을 향해 손으로 지휘를 시작했다. ‘바다보다 더 깊은 스승의 사랑...’ 3절이 시작된다. 나는 점점 템포를 빨리 몰아갔다. 학생들은 더욱 신이 났다. 끝 부분은 느리고 장중하게 맺었다. 노래가 끝나고 모두들 박수를 치며 깔깔 웃었다. 짧은 순간이었지만 예기치 않은 행복감이 우리 모두를 감쌌다. 잠시 후 강의를 시작하려는데, 학생들이 입을 모아 외친다. ‘교수님, 오늘은 하루 쉬셔요.’ 내 생각해서 하는 소리가 아니다. 나도 학창시절에 수업보다는 휴강이 좋았던 기억이 난다. 공부보다 노는 것을 더 좋아하는 그 마음을 모르는 바가 아니다. 그렇다고 휴강할 수는 없다. 강의가 시작되니 학생 몇몇이 졸기 시작한다. 초여름 오후, 점심을 먹고 난 시간에 졸음이 오는 것은 당연한 것 아닌가. 평소 강의 때 졸거나 딴전 피는 학생은 밉기도 한데, 그날따라 밉지 않고 모두 예쁘기만 한 것은 무슨 연유인지. 매년 스승의 날이면 제자들로부터 꽃을 받거나 졸업한 학생들로부터는 전화나 메일을 받는 데 올해의 선물은 오래도록 남을 것 같다.

May 15. Teacher's day

Today is teacher's day. At 10:30, we had teacher's day event. Many professor attended. At afternoon I went to my high school and met sevel teachers. I was very glad to see them. I talked with them many hours. I love my teachers and all of Chung-Ang professors!

May 8. Parents day

Today is Parents day. Last day, I bought 3 carnations for grandmother, father and mother. Today I gave carnations them. They looked very happy. I felt happy too. I love my family!

May 6. First soccer match 지진!

Today is 총장기배 soccer tournamaent First day. Our team's match was second game. Our match team is last year tournamen winner 리베로. They had very good skill and their teamplay was fantastic. We played our best but we had poor skill and teamplay. We defeated 3:0. But we had good experience. Next year, we will go to winner stand!!!

April 26. Mid-term test Last day

Today is last day of mid-term exam. Today's subject is English-America culture with Professor Cameron. In test, it had many writting question in English. I don't have good writting skill in English so I was embarrassed. But I could remember that this question was in book. So I could write answer. And I'm surprise about can using dictionary. Anyway I wrote question everthing so I'm satisfied.

My first exam in university finished. I felt that I have to study more hard. It was very important experience for me. I felt a lot of my study and test.

April 24. Mid-term test Third day

Today is third day. And today's subject was 영어학개론. 영어학개론 is too hard for me!!!! To honestly, I didn't study this subject. So I was very embarrased. In test, I felt despair........ In end of term test, I will study hard!!

April 22. Mid-term test Second day

Today is mid-term test second day. Today's subject were two, 국어와문학and 대학영어. First 국어와문학 test is little hard. It had 3 part. First part is correcting the wrong word in paragraph. Second part is correcting the wrong part in sentence. I think first part is hard to find. Secon part is easier than first part. Last part is writting. I hate writting so I worried about this part. Writting part was hard for me. 대학영어 exam was very hard for me. Because I didn't study hard and in class I knocke a nod a lot. Today was so tired because of two subject test.

April 21. Mid-term test First day

Today is mid-term test first day and first exam in university. Today's subject is English Language History(영어발달사). This is one of my favorite subject because I like history. I planed to study hard(plan 2 week for study!!!) but I didn't sudy hard. I managed to read book one time and then memory some important point. On the test, I missed some questions. It was hard. May be, my score will be bad but today's first exam on university is very important experience for me.

April 4. Let's start tournament!!

Today I went to 총장기배 soccer tournament 대진추첨. I'm 지진's president. 지진 is Eng Edu Soccer team name. 총장기배 soccer tournament is start on May 6. When I cast lots, I wanted to cry. I casted last year tournament winner 리베로. It was terrible pick. This event is tournament so if we lose 1 round, we don't have any chances. We will play best, but I think we will lose. It's gloomy day.

April 1. Lotte World!

I went Lotte World with 형기, 지예, 민제, 광현, 근창. We arrived Lotte World at 7 p.m. so we couldn't take many amusement structuer. But we had great time there. First we took French Revolution. That is something like fast train. 광현 was afraid of French Revolution. But me? I like that very mech!!! That is very fun. Next we took bumper car, mono rail etc. I inconvenienced but I had fun time in Lotte World.

March 27. Happy Birth day Jae Young!!!!

Today is Jae Young's birth day. So we prepared birth day party. First, we bought birth day cake in Paris baguette. And we planed birth day party after English philology class. It finished at 3pm.
Of course, it was surprising party. Jae Young didn't know we prepared this surprise party. After class we begun surprise party!!! It was first party to my Eng Edu 08 friends, so it was very special.

March 26. The Topic of this Week (Journal)

Well, I think English teacher's pronounciation is very important. Students listen their teacher's class and if teacher uses very good pronounciation, that can help student's listening ability and student understand their lecture easily. So I think English teacher must practice their pronounciation. Many studnts go to abroad for upgrade their English skill. When they go abroad, they should practice more on pronounciation. Teacher's pronounciation is very important.

March 23. MT!

March 22and 23, I attended MT. In this MT whole Eng Edu students who can join attended. In MT we had freshman show so we practiced "Baby one more time" (song by Jewelry) dance a lot.
In show we danced successful so we were very happy. After show time, we drank alchol. I'm very tired now but it was good time to familiar with many friends and many seniors.
